Food Legacy were invited to participate in a Round Table Discussion on Food Security. Approximately 50 food and nutrition experts discussed the immense challenges we face, the opportunities which exist and how we can best transform our food systems.
Many of the risks will come as no surprise including climate change, supply chain failures, hunger etc, however our biggest risk may be complacency - the assumption that food will always be on the table. Numerous solutions are laid on the table from farming the oceans to renewable food - we know what to do and how to do it. The question is ‘will we’?
